Hailing from the great state of New Jersey, Anne-Marie Caruso received her B.F.A. Summa Cum Laude from Montclair State University. She has been working as an editorial photographer since 2006, photographing a variety of portraits, still-life, food, products, fashion and, much to her chagrin, home interiors.
Anne-Marie likes to focus on shooting personal projects on 4X5 film, which allows her to take her time when crafting an image. Dealing with issues of aging, domesticity and the ever-present ticking of a biological clock, Anne-Marie uses dark imagery and darker wit to create haunting images.
In her free time Anne-Marie can be found eating all manner of vegan fare, attempting a perfect downward facing dog, traveling abroad, or persuading her cat, Waffles DuJour, to spend some time with her.
Also, one time David Sedaris called her enchanting.
